Mike began playing music at the age of 10 with the upright string bass in the Classical Orchestra. A few years later, he would add electric bass to his performance and while covering Orchestral music, he also performed Jazz, Country, and Classic Rock in various bands. Mike also picked up guitar at an early age and would continue performing either as bass player or guitar player in several bands for the next 40 years, often with his brothers Al and John. In DFW, Mike played and sang in numerous clubs from Southern Junction, White Elephant Saloon, and Top Rail with Rio West, Southbound, RagTag, Saltcreek Bluegrass Band and now the Whiskey Bandits. Mike loves to sing and play music for others to enjoy while they dance. His biggest musical influences are Dwight Yoakam, Steve Earle, Radney Foster, Vince Gill, and Pete Anderson.

John has been playing country drums and singing lead and harmony vocals for 20 years in MN and TX. John took private piano lessons at age 4 and bought his first kit at the age of 12. He played 150+ shows a year in college and opened for such acts as Molly and the Haymakers and Asleep at the Wheel. Some of his musical influences are the late Mike Kennedy (George Strait) John Dittrich (Restless Heart) and KW Turnbow (Chris and Ned LeDoux) After taking 20 years off to raise a family he is excited to finally play with both brothers, lay down a dance groove, play with energy and enjoy the folks that come to hear the band entertain.
